A Bit of History

Last Saturday was history day in downtown Knoxville and I was there to soak it all in…. and take tons of pics.
Today is part one of civil war pics as portrayed by the 97th New York, the 97th fought in the western theatre of the civil war with general Grants forces and ended up garrisoning Knoxville Tennessee towards the end of the war. This group does and outstanding job of recreating the look and feel of the troops of that time, and the drummer and fife players were excellent too. 🙂
