O.k. one more, the dreaded unmarked sheriff patrol vehicle, the scourge of highway travellers here we have one I just got with a truck on I-57 in Illinois..
Just goes to show not only kids enjoy a good kite..:-)
It still amazes me that some insects look like aliens, or maybe it us that look like giant aliens to them, especially when there is a big lens in their faces……
While difficult to shoot, Dragonflies and Damselflies are my favorite insects…

Since I did bugs yesterday I thought some cuteness would be nice for today…..
So for yesterdays Flower Friday post I did some wildflowers from Cotulla Texas, today I have the Painted Buntings I also saw that day, I’m pretty sure the olive colored ones are females but I may be wrong so comments are encouraged..;-)
The sad thing about this post is that this year I went back to the exact location to look for new and better pics and the lot where all the tall grass was growing was gone! The lot where the Buntings and Western Meadowlarks used to fees has been cut down and graded for a hotel…..WHAT A BUMMER!!!!
I took these back in May of 2010 in Cotulla Texas….
Early morning at the zoo and most animals just don’t want to be bothered..:-)
