This was fun and welcome to the Wonderful World of Ws……..
Winchester Shotgun Shells
How about a Windshield and Windshield Wipers..
My favorite and I had to look for this one….A Wiffle Ball
Peanut Butter on Whole Wheat….
First off HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to my mom DiBear…Love Ya mom!! It seems like Deja Vu, but last week I was broke down with injector problems in Mount Vernon Illinois and posting from a Motel6 and this evening I’m broke down with injector problems and posting from a Motel6 in Des Moines Iowa…spooky.. I did manage to get mostly new pics for todays challenge so I hope ya’ll enjoy….
This was a fun challenge, I’ve put together a little collection of vehicles for this one….
How about Life Flight and Air Ambulances…
Here is a county sheriffs helo on patrol…
And how about my Dad’s Ambulance from 1958, he was in the Army in Germany when he took this pic…
And a WW2 Ambulance…
and last we have an UH-64 MEDEVAC
O.k. one more, the dreaded unmarked sheriff patrol vehicle, the scourge of highway travellers here we have one I just got with a truck on I-57 in Illinois..
I cheated this week! I grabbed my Canon Powershot G12 and did an impromptu photo shoot at a big box store that will be unnamed. I figured since I don’t have a garden and I did’nt want to use the loads of new wildflower shots from last weekend..what the heck..:-)
If I had to pick my favorite it would be the Hybrid Fuscia (second from the bottom) do you have a favorite? And did you spot the big ol’ Bumblebee???
Have a great week…Ed
I got luck and pestered my mum on Saturday morning for these shots while she was making Chorizo and Egg burritos…nice and HOT!
She is the best cook I know and I have been gorging myself the last few days on her fantastic homecooked food..:-)
First we have the heating element on the stove..
Then we have the spicy hot Chorizo ( Mexican Sausage)
And after you mix in eggs, peppers and tomatos you need the Salsa Verde, whick I let boil so that is deffinatly HOT!
And what breakfast is complete without homefries..
And finally the finished product.. FANTASTIC!!
Not to mention my B-Day dinner on Thursday night, chicken enchiladas, refried beans and mexi rice with the best queso dip..YUMMMM!
Thanks mom (DiBear)..:-))))
So this week I took the challenge literally and took pics of some hand tools or to be more precise tools in my hand..:-)
First we have the oldest hand tools to be used, breaking bones or grinding seeds ya can’t beat rocks…
Next we have my favorite fixed blade knife, a SOG Seal pup, excellent for cutting rope and opening dvds
Here we have my two tools I use almost every day, the vice grip pliers I use for hammering and holding the tandem slide on unruly trailers and the cutters for seals both wire and metal.
And last but not least, my teo favorite leatherman tools I keep in my camera bags for a just in case scenario, the Skeletool is the silver one and the Juice is the purple one both have saved my butt in the field numerous times with their pliers, screwdrivers and knives..
I got to spend Saturday at my favorite place….. the Columbus Zoo! While it was crowded it was a perfect day, sunny and the temps were in the upper 50′s. The zoo was doing an Easter themed day for the visitors and this brought out lots of people. There were dino eggs, decorations and bunnys galore!!! I identified Bugs, the Trix rabbit and a few I could not identify. There was even a bunny train, it was a pretty fun day not to mention I got a few decent animal pics for the upcoming week.. So without further adoo I give ya’ll some of my best pics of the day..:-) .
Lots of green this week in my travels, most from Illinois where I am taking some time off to visit my dad. Its Saturday night and we are awaiting yet another winter storm that will hit tonight into tomorrow….YIPEE!!!!
And last but not least thanks to wal-mart, only they could have a tee shirt featuring a drunken leprechaun puking a rainbow into a pot of gold while drinking a green beer.. I wonder how the Irish feel about this shirt????
Mostly I play games on my laptop and for cranial stimulation I like Trivial Pursuit on my I-Pod. I did find some updated old games like Operation, when i played it it just had a buzzer and the the nose lit up when you made a mistake, now it had sounds and voices. and Trouble had a cool box cover to attract the kids, kind of silly. With computers and gaming consoles like Playstation and XBox board ganes are going away, I did see the Jersey Shore board game at a wall mart a couple of weeks ago and thought thats the end of games as we know them…..
And a mishmash of other games…..
