I grabbed my Canon Powershot G12 and did an impromptu photo shoot at a big box store that will be unnamed. I figured since I don’t have a garden and I did’nt want to use the loads of new wildflower shots from last weekend..what the heck..:-)
If I had to pick my favorite it would be the Hybrid Fuscia (second from the bottom) do you have a favorite? And did you spot the big ol’ Bumblebee???
Have a great week…Ed
Wildflowers and Bugs and Home for a Visit
Posted in flowers, Insects, Macro Photography, Nikon D80, Photography, Sigma 105mm Macro Lens, wildflowers with tags Insects, Macro Photography, Nikon D80, Photography, Sigma 105mm Macro lens, wildflowers on April 18, 2013 by EdHow do I celebrate my Birthday? By going on a bughunt!!! I’m home for a few days and get to visit with the folks and get some good food and get out to the wilderness for some pics. Spring is in full full swing and I’m anticipating finding some neat wildflowers and maybe a bird or two, and of course bugs. I took the following pics on Tuesday in South Carolina while parked on an offramp, sometimes a good walk will produce some good pics…….
It always amazes me that such neat wildflowers come in such small packages, all these flowers were smaller than a dime….

She wanted to see some pics so she can paint them and she wanted to see some open trilliums. I find them on the Tellico River in Tennessee in mid April, hopefully on my next visit home next month I can get some new ones..:-)
I also have some yellow Trilliums somewhere deep in my archives too.

But I made it safe and sound and I finally get to check in with my e-mails. Yesterday in Ohio I picked up season 2 of Game of Thrones and Argo so I have some catching up to do..:-)
Here area c couple of nice warm flower pics and one with a busy bee..:-)
