Macro Monday

Saturday was a very good day!!! I was in Cotulla Texas about 60 miles north of Laredo when I took my break and to my absouloute suprise there were wildflowers!!! The first of the year for me and I was more than happy to get out for a walk with the ol’ macro lens and procedded to shoot about 250 pics, I’m pretty sure there is some indian blanket and baby bells in the pics but if there are any flower folks out there let me know..:-)

And yesterday in Louisiana was a great day too, I found a whole field of hundreds of Ibis feasting on rice and crayfish, more on that later this week and I’m still working on the LightCraft 2-8 stop ND filter post..:-)

  1. Hi, Ed!

I’m not positive but I think your 3rd picture is Indian Blanket. I couldn’t find any pics of Baby Bells.

  2. Actually the name I found for #4 was Baby Blue Eyes. My favorite thing about living in Texas was Blue Bonnet time. Driving the back country roads taking pictures. :)

  3. colorful and nice use of shallow DOF!

  4. First flowers of the season- yay! Thanks Ed!

  5. So beautiful! That first shot shows off the delicate flower so well. My fave is the 3rd one down because I just love the color and the composition.
