Sunday Stills: Currency
I admit it, since I’m a coin collector this one was stacked( no pun intended) in my favor. But I wanted to see what other countrys money looks like, I’ve been all arounf the world and never kept any of the currency from their countries. Its a bummer I did’nt think of it when I was home because I have an extensive ancient coin collection of roman, greek and british coins… Anyway here is what I have to work with on hand…:-)

My handy dandy money clip/ CRKT knife..

A closeup of a 10 and 20 dollar bill..

Its funny how you find ols coins in your change, these are both silver, the dime is a mercury dime and the quarter is a silver quarter from 1962.

Before changing the penny to the current one we had wheat back pennies in the 20’s

And finally our attempt at dollar coins, the first was the Susan B. Anthony in the late 70’s then we went on to the Sacajawea ( a native american who hepled guide Lewis and Clark on their discovery of the western U.S.) dollar, and now the mint is on a presidential dollar kick, the latest is Polk our 11th president..

And one last one I could’nt pass up.
I hope ya’ll enjoyed the pics I have a couple more but I’ll save them for Macro Monday..Wink,Wink,..:-)
Have a great day…:-)))

visitors to the US find your currency very confusing. They are same size and same colour.
In New Zealand, we don’t use cash a lot. We use the credit cards and EFTPOS a lot.

While I was sorting through my change, I found a wheat penny too!
I must get myself one of those handy dandy money clips, because I am too lazy to actually put my money into a wallet!!

Love Tigger with his stack. Since we sell eggs, we only have stacks of $1 bills…trade ya! I’m glad they’ve started adding color to our bills, but from a design standpoint the amount of color is wimpy and I think the asymmetrical and enlarged portraits of the Presidents faces really stinks. But they all spend just fine!
