Skywatch Friday

Driving through the Virginia darkness I had the familiar feeling of what I call a Lunar Distraction. As the clouds parted I realized it was a Full moon rising above the horizon and well, I had to stop..:-)
FM2 7-6-09
Aperature Mode, f:6.3, ISO 200, Sigma 170-500mm maxed, tripod.

    I tried a couple of moon shots when I took fireworks pictures but I just didn’t have the lens for it. Makes me appreciate yours so much more. Love a full moon especially over the ocean.

    we had a moon like this thursday night! but by the time i got home it was very high in the sky & not worth my photographing
    so pretty
