Here are a few pix I shot sunday at an unnamed big box store in Wisconsin. Being bored I perused the outside portion of the garden center and got some pretty flowers.

Macro Monday

I guess I’m a bit of a flower child at heart, or I just keep finding interesting flowers to shoot..:-)
The full flower is a Dhalia and the bud I’m not sure of.
Info: 105mm Macro lens, ISO200, f:2.8, speed: 1/250sec, hand held, no flash in sunlight.

Skywatch Friday

I thought I’d give this a try, I took these yesterday in Sweet Springs Missouri after an evening of pounding thunderstorms in Illinois. Unfortunatly for me by the time I got to Kansas this evening all the lightning storms had moved out, maybe next time..:-)


And finally what would skywatch be without a moonshot, I took this last night in Ottowa Kansas. I’ll do a moonshot each Thursday for this post.

Some Artwork?

I finally got to get some pics of this unique spot near the University of Illinois. I was facinated by the colors and artwork these folks had left behind, kind of like modern day petroyglyphs. Hope ya’ll enjoy, I had alot of pics but chose the best..:-)

Macro Monday

It was a fun day yesterday and I got alot of good shots and many ideas for later posts. So here are the first from my trusty 105mm Macro lens. All were taken at ISO400, F 2:8, and varied shutter speeds in Aperature priority mode.. A cool fact is the yellow flower had black leaves and was just plain wierd.
