Well as I sat in the Wal Mart parking lot in Bay City Michigan I started wondering what it looked like for the bugs I photograph and I came up with this…

It took awhile to set up, I’m glad I had both triopds and my spare camera.
Then the rain clouds rolled in and the sky grew dark, and the temp dropped. Oh goody, maybe some lightning shots??? NOT! It rained, and rained, and rained, so I took an extended nap and fell asleep to the rain pounding on the truck, actually I was out like a light. When I woke up the sun was getting low on the horizon and sun started to peek out from behind the clouds and I was greeted by this sight…

Over the next couple of hours I spotted 4 different rainbows, it was pretty cool.
I’m in Waukegan Illinois this morning and heading to who knows where, hopefully somewhere interesting..:-)
Hava great day…Ed

All these pics were taken with my 105mm Sigma Macro lens ISO400, f:2:8, in Aperature mode.

Some Cute Critters
Posted in Photography with tags elephants, grizzley bears, Indianapolis Zoo, Lemurs on June 27, 2009 by EdAs I watched the lions trying to figure out how to shoot through 4 inches of glass and more little fingerprints than I cared to count I overheard a mom talking to her friend saying how much she liked the extra security to protect them from the animals, I interjected that the extra protection was actually for the animals from us. The problem with zoos since the two idiots got themsevles killed by a tiger in San Francisco is for the zoos to protect protect the animals from the visitors is they have increaced the amount of fencing and ballistic glass. This makes it difficult to photograph, single fencing is o.k. I can focus through it but double is impossible, so I gave up on the animals and concentrated on the flora instead of the fauna. But I did manage some good pix of what I did shoot. Enjoy and I’ll see ya’ll tomorrow for Sunday Stills… Ed
