The Lighthouse
I got a few comments yesterday regarding the lighthouse in Erie Pa. Well here it is, the clouds and trees made photographing it tough but I got close on a couple of pics and this was the better of them. It was made in 1840. For more info search Presque Isle Lighthouse, there are numerous sites dedicated to this lighthouse and the history behind it.

Love lighthouses. Interesting architecture.

Very pretty although it looks more like a church than a lighthouse. I’ll have to do some reading about it.

I thought the same thing as Gina…kind of reminds me of a church steeple. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing!

Lovely old building, it really is reminiscent of a church. That would make a nice bell tower.

I’ve never seen a lighthouse with a house attached. The one’s I’ve seen are here on the West Coast and were just the column. Very interesting.
